BREWER FAQ’s

What does this event benefit?

Follow this link for more information.

what do we need to bring?

We ask that you (the brewer) bring a pop-up tent, beer (if not being supplied through a distributor), jockey box, taps/handles/CO2, displays and any other schwag you wish to distribute. Glass isn't allowed on the plaza so plan accordingly.

What’s Provided?

WBF will provide space for a 10'x10' pop-up tent, tables, ice, plastic barrels for beer, limited power (inquire if you have power needs), and volunteers to pour if needed. We also provide overnight security both Friday and Saturday nights. Our committee will be re-icing the beer for you Saturday morning.

There will be a Brewer Reception from 12pm-2pm on Saturday at Accomplice Beer Company where lunch will be provided for you.

Do you pay for beer?

We do; however, since we are a non-profit, we do accept donations and can provide a tax letter for you. We also have a “Beer for Beds” program (see below), if you are interested.

What are the hours and where is the festival?

The festival runs from 5pm-10pm on Friday and Saturday night of Father’s Day weekend. We will be setting up on Friday all day and ask that brewers be in place no later than 4pm each day so any last minute hiccups can be addressed.

The festival is held on the Cheyenne Depot Plaza in downtown Cheyenne at 15th St and Capitol Ave. Around 2500 people attend the 2-day festival where they will enjoy music, food vendors, and of course - great beer.

Will there be judging?

Yes!

People’s Choice – Patrons will receive tokens to vote for their favorite brewery. This is a non-sanctioned that is fun for brewers and patrons alike.

Brewer’s Choice – WBF-Participating brewers will receive tokens to vote for their favorite homebrew. This is a non-sanctioned, fun event, where our regional brewers will have the opportunity to taste and honor local homebrews.

For Wyoming Brewers only - we are also planning to host a BJCP-sanctioned event on Saturday from 11a-2p for the style of IPA. We are still confirming the details and will keep you posted!

What about parking & unloading?

You will be allowed to pull onto the plaza to unload but all vehicles will need to be off the plaza no later than 4pm. You can come onto the plaza after the festival is over and the crowds have cleared to clean up. You can park in the lot at 15th St & O’Neil or in the city parking garage. There will not be any parking allowed in the Depot lot.

What is the “beer for beds” program?

Hospitality sponsors have agreed to help WBF provide hotel rooms for brewers who donate to the event through our “Beer for Beds” program. We are pleased to organize one night hotel stay per half-barrel keg donated in-kind. (Or cash-equivalent donation to the Cheyenne Depot Museum - a 501c3 organization).

Do you have a special hotel rate for brewers?

We are currently in negotiations with local hotels to provide a special rate for you and your crew.
